<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device in which sealability is maintained even in the case where reciprocating motion and rotary motion are both generated, and further, eccentricity is generated, and in which durability of a sealing member is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device for sealing an annular gap between a housing 3 having a shaft hole and a shaft 4 inserted into the shaft hole is equipped with: a circumferential groove 40 provided to the shaft 4; an O-ring 1 mounted on the groove bottom side of the circumferential groove 40; and a resin ring 2 mounted on the opening side of the circumferential groove 40 for sliding with the housing 3. A groove bottom face of the circumferential groove 40 is equipped with an inclination face 43 inclining on the opening side toward a groove side wall 42, and when eccentricity is generated between the housing 3 and the shaft 4, the O-ring 1 moves to a low pressure side while rising up on the inclination face 43 by pressure from a high pressure side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
