<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive on-vehicle headlamp capable of illuminating the front side with sufficient brightness and an appropriate light distribution. <P>SOLUTION: The on-vehicle headlamp is provided with: an excitation part having a plurality of excitation elements 11 emitting light or electrons; a light emitting part containing a planar phosphor 13 emitting light by being excited by the light or electrons emitted from the excitation part; a case 14 for housing the excitation part and the light emitting part therein; a light distribution adjustment part 16 adjusting the light distribution of the planar light emitted by the light emitting part; and an optical member 2 illuminating the front side of a vehicle with the light emitted by the light emitting part. The plurality of excitation elements of the excitation part are arranged to have sparseness and denseness to adjust brightness of illumination light illuminating the front side of the vehicle, or arranged to have distance differences between the phosphor and themselves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
