Invention herewith described refers to the thermo-mechanical transducer which is a simple rotating device without the stator and can be used as a compressor or as an expander depending on the direction of gas flow through the transducer and is in the firm connection with the driveshaft and rotates with it. This is achieved through the direct and mutual exchange of energy between the flowing gas molecules and the elements of the thermo-mechanical transducer. The transducer is the device that has no mutually moving parts and that is why there is no wear of materials and the long-life of devices is obtained without lubrication. In operational parts of the design, the transducer is manufactured of the thermally non-conductive materials and does not require cooling, which enables high operating temperatures. Using transducers, the thermodynamic system can achieve a higher utilization of fuel in comparison to other types of converters such as turbine engines or internal combustion engines (ICE).
