PURPOSE: A connector is provided to reduce the depth of a connector compared to a structure with first and second distances which are considerably different. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of signal contacts is connected to either one of an FFC(Flexible Flat Cable) or an FPC(Flexible Printed Circuit). At least one ground contact contacts a ground terminal of either one of the FFC and the FPC. A housing(8) holds the signal contacts and ground contacts. When an end of the housing becomes a reference point in a direction in which either one of the FFC or the FPC is inserted/separated into/from a connector, the first distance between each signal terminal and a contact point of each signal contact is the same as the second distance between the ground terminal and a contact point of a ground contact.
