The harvester consists of a V-shaped platform which can travel between rows of vines, a pair of pivoted sub-frames (123) with driven beater heads (60,62) with radial rods (64), and adjusters (125) between the sub-frames which maintain the required distance between the rods, made in the form of a chain of articulated parallelogram mechanism. The grapes or raising removed by the beaters are collected by endless conveyor belts with a plastics mesh and transverse steel or rubber bars. The conveyor has horizontal and sloping sections, while a centering mechanism positions the vines centrally between the beaters. ADVANTAGE - Improved performance and wider range of applications, being suitable for harvesting from vines which are not precisely in straight lines. |
