New multitarget biphenyl diol compounds and their use as a medicament to suppress tumor growth and/or prevent recurrence or metastasis or to treat a cancer selected from the group consisting of brain, bone, colon, ovary, pancreas, prostate, skin, lung, and head and neck cancer, melanoma and hematological malignancies or to treat nononcological indications such as skin inflammation, atopic dermatitis, or actinic keratosis or to treat autoimmune disorders such as multiple sclerosis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, systemic lupus, erythematosus, dermatomyositis, Sjögren's syndrome and Behçet's disease or to treat pain, selected from the group consisting of chronic, cancer, postoperative and neuropathic pain or to simultaneously treat cancer and cancer-related pain and inflammation.
