The combustion device (3) has a second fuel feeding stage to inject fuel (17) into the combustion device (3). The fuel (17) of the second stage is mixed with only an inert fluid (20) to form a mixture (21) that is then injected into the combustion chamber (1). The present invention also refers to a method for operating a gas turbine.
