<p>A retro-reflector has at least one retro-reflecting element that has high retro-reflection efficiency and a very wide retro-reflecting range. The retro-reflecting element includes a mother reflecting corner including a communal reflecting surface that is an optical surface of a single geometrical plane, and a conceptual stepped surface that meets the communal reflecting surface at a right angle; and a plurality of subsidiary reflecting corners that are arranged along the stepped surface such that corners thereof meet the communal reflecting surface at a right angle, and each including a pair of exclusive reflecting surfaces, which are optical surfaces in a single geometrical plane and meet at a right angle.</p> |
