The reformer (3) has an oxidant pipe (18) attached to an inlet side (14) of the reformer for feeding an oxidant to the reformer. A reformat gas pipe (24) is attached to an outlet side (23) of the reformer for discharging reformat gas from the reformer. A reheater (35) is provided in the reformat gas pipe. A reheater heat exchanger (40) is included downstream of the reheater in the reformat gas pipe and/or coupled with the reheater in a heat transferring manner. The reheater heat exchanger is included upstream of the reformer in a branch (41) of the oxidant pipe. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating a reformer (2) a fuel cell system including fuel cells. |
