In an example, a profile 48 is included at a designated location on an inner surface of the wellhead housing 40. When the support hanger 14 is landed in the wellhead housing 40, an impression is taken of the inner surface of the wellhead housing 40 from a reference location. Analyzing the impression can indicate the position of the support hanger 14 within the wellhead housing 40. A running tool 10 that can land the support hanger 14 within the wellhead housing 40 can be equipped with an impression block 32 for taking the impression of the profile 48 in the wellhead housing 40.Figure 1</p> |
