<p>A method and an apparatus for authentication in passive optical network and a passive optical network thereof are provided in the embodiments of the present invention. The method includes: the Optical Network Unit/Optical Network Terminal (ONU/ONT) receives the first negotiation message sent by the Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and authenticates the OLT according to the logic registration code of the OLT; the ONU/ONT sends the second negotiation message to the OLT, so that the OLT authenticates the ONU/ONT according to the logic registration code of the ONU/ONT and assigns a terminal ID to the ONU/ONT after the authentication is successful. The embodiments of the present invention use logic registration codes to implement authentications of the OLT and the ONU/ONT, and solve the problem of hidden dangers existing in the authentication process.</p> |
