<p>The communication apparatus of the present invention comprises a discrimination means adapted to discriminate a function of another communication apparatus with respect to a communication parameters setting procedure; a setting means adapted to set a function of the communication apparatus with respect to the communication parameters setting procedure; and an execution means adapted to execute the communication parameters setting procedure by exchanging predetermined messages between a providing apparatus of communication parameters and a receiving apparatus of communication parameters. In case the communication apparatus detects the providing apparatus within a predetermined period while the communication apparatus is not the providing apparatus, the execution means executes, as the receiving apparatus, the communication parameters setting procedure with the detected providing apparatus. In case the communication apparatus detects the receiving apparatus while the communication apparatus is not the receiving apparatus, the execution means executes, as the providing apparatus, the communication parameters setting procedure with the detected receiving apparatus.</p> |
