A valve element of a beverage dispensing assembly to be used with a tapping head includes a tapping head housing and a tap handle. The beverage dispensing assembly comprises two elements, viz. a dispensing line having a dispensing end and a keg connection end, and the valve element comprising an upstream valve part, a flexible valve part, a lower valve part, and a plug being accommodated in the lower valve part and serving to seal off the dispensing end of the dispensing line. When the valve element is not positioned and received in the tapping head housing, the plug is caused to seal off the dispensing line, and when the valve element is positioned and received in the tapping head housing, the upstream valve part and lower valve part of the valve element are operated by the tap handle for causing the plug to seal off the dispensing line. |
