PURPOSE: A toothpaste composition containing argan oil, perfume, and wetting agent is provided to prevent periodontal disorders and to relieve gingival inflammation. CONSTITUTION: A toothpaste composition contains 0.1-40 wt% of argan oil. The composition contains calcium monohydrogen phosphate, silicon dioxide, calcium carbonate, or aluminum hydroxide as an abrasive. The composition also contains glycerin, sorbitol solution, and amorphous sorbitol solution as a wetting agent. The argan oil is isolated from Argania spinosa frutis.
