A PURIFICATION METHOD FOR BACTERIOCINS USING ORGANIC SOLVENTS

PURPOSE: A method for extracting and purifying microbes-derived bacteriocin using organic solvent is provided to obtain bacteriocin fraction with 90% or more activity without other purification step. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting bacteriocin with 10 kDa or less of molecular weight comprises: a step of culturing a bacteriocin-producing strain; a step of centrifuging the culture liquid; a step of adding organic solvent to supernatant and stirring to prepare a mixture; a step of centrifuging the mixture and collecting supernatant containing organic solvent; and a step of concentrating the supernatant to isolate the organic solvent and bacteriocin.
