AIDS-HIV EXTRACT COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF EXTRATION THEREOF

The substance is extracted from a mixture of defatted Ricinus seed flour and defatted Coptis root flour, and is obtained by: mixing the defatted Ricinus seed flour and the defatted Coptis root flour in a wt. ratio of 2:5 to 5:2; eluting the mixture with an organic solvent at 20-25 deg.C for 20-25 hrs.; filtering under reduced pressure; drying the filter cake and boiling with 5000 ml H2O for 3-4 hrs.; concentrating the aqueous extract under reduced pressure to 1500 ml and removing the precipitate; washing the aqueous phase with CHC13 and then hexane; adding talc and filtering under reduced pressure; and passing the filtrate through a membrane filter and freeze drying to obtain a yellowish brown powder. The substance is used to treat AIDS.
