<p>The present invention makes us of four sampling-elements, for the collection of radon, radon-decay-products, and other airborne radionuclides. Traits common to all these sampling elements are: large surface-areas, large specific-collecting-surface areas, small surface-densities, and similar sampling-time-frames. By transforming airborne radionuclides into surface-bound radionuclides, these sampling elements make it possible to assess the concentration of radon and its decay products by using the same beta-particle-monitor and the same counting procedures. When carried out simultaneously, these measurements will mutually supplement one another, for the assessment of the concentrations of radon, its decay-products, and their relative equilibrium-factor. The applications of said sampling elements to all-types of airborne radionuclides are straightforward.</p> |
