PURPOSE: An electrically propelled ship including a power management system is provided to implement power distribution and switching in a single device by controlling the rpm of a propulsion electric motor and the charge, discharge, and power distribution of a storage battery through the power management system. CONSTITUTION: An electrically propelled ship comprises a power supply(10), a storage battery(30), a charge control panel(20), a propulsion electric motor(40), an inverter(50), a converter(60), a propulsion converter(70), and a power management system. The charge control panel is electrically connected to the power supply and the storage battery and adjusts DC voltage in order to directly charge DC electric energy provided from the power supply to the storage battery. The propulsion electric motor generates torque using the electrical energy stored in the storage battery. The inverter changes the DC voltage of the storage battery into the AC voltage to be supplied to a load in the ship. The propulsion converter changes the power of the storage battery into driving voltage to be supplied to the propulsion electric motor. The power management system controls the rpm and forward/reverse rotation of the propulsion electric motor and the charge, discharge, and power distribution of the storage battery. |
