PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a display device including the same are provided to reduce manufacturing costs by the omission of a light guide plate and to reduce the weight of a backlight unit. CONSTITUTION: A light source array and a circuit board(81) prepare in a light source module(80). A reflecting sheet(20) reflects light which is projected from the light source module to an optical sheet. Light which is projected from a light emitting device is reflected from a reflecting layer. The light is projected to the optical sheet. A bottom cover(10) supports the reflecting sheet. The reflecting sheet is inclined to the optical sheet.
