SUSTAINED-RELEASE GRANULES OF THEOBROMINE AND ITS PREPARING METHOD

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a sustained release granule containing theobromine is provided to effectively relieve or treat cough by administering once a day. CONSTITUTION: A sustained release granule of theobromine comprises a water insoluble polymer, an inner layer formed of lubricant, and an external layer formed of hydrophilic polymers and pharmaceutically acceptable additives. A method for manufacturing the granule comprises: a step of inputting 800 weight parts of theobromine powder into a coating device; a step of spraying a primary coating solution containing 100-200 weight parts of water insoluble polymers, 8-16 weight parts of lubricant, and 1700-3200 weight parts of dispersion solvent to coat the inner layer; and a step of spraying a secondary coating solution containing 30-50 weight parts of hydrophilic polymers, 1500-1700 weight parts of pharmaceutically acceptable additives, and 600-700 weight parts of dispersion solvent to coat the external layer.
