PURPOSE: A screw for a synthetic resin extruder is provided to reduce the load of a screw drive motor by employing a sub flight installed in a mixing part. CONSTITUTION: A screw for a synthetic resin extruder comprises a rod-shaped body(3), a flight, a feed part(11), a compression part(13), and a mixing part(15). The flight is projected in a square shape on a part or entire of the outer periphery of the body in the longitudinal direction of the body. The feed part is installed inside a barrel and rotated with a drive motor and receives solid resin and an additive through a hopper. The compression part fuses the resin and the additive with heat and pressure. The mixing part evenly mixes the fused mixed resin. The flight comprises a main flight(5) which is formed over the entire length of the body and a sub flight(7) which is formed in the mixing part. |
