PURPOSE: A display device and a control method thereof are provided to efficiently control the display device. CONSTITUTION: An operation recognizing unit(10) recognizes an operation that a user performs. A controller(20) executes an indicator corresponding to the first operation of the user. The controller indicates information for at least one of the second operation of the user and a function corresponding to the second operation on an indicator. The function of the display device includes at least one of a channel information display function, a channel change function, a voice volume adjusting function, and a menu search and selecting function.
