The invention relates to the means for well seismic studies. The method for excitation of shock vibratory oscillations is in fact that one performs lift of shock mass with given weight to given level above the surface of the support platform, with release of the shock mass for fall under effect of force of gravity and provision of its return to initial level after it comes to the support platform and hits it, and excitation of given sequence of shock vibratory oscillations. At motion of the shock mass along a guide rod to the support platform for hitting it the shock mass is brought to rotary-translational motion. The invention provides increase of effectiveness of seismic studies in the well.
