PURPOSE: A leakage test method for welding pipes of a railway car is provided to check leakages of whole welding pipes without damages of a braking device at once even in case that the high air pressure for a test is applied to the braking pipe. CONSTITUTION: A leakage test method for welding pipes of a railway car is as follows. A plurality of dummy jigs(10) corresponds to each braking devices and endures the test pneumatic pressure. A plurality of dummy jigs are installed in a braking pipe(20) in order that welding pipes(21) can be connected to each other. A application position for the test pneumatic pressure is selected in the braking pipe. Opened end portions of the welding pipes are blocked up. The test pneumatic pressure is supplied to the braking pipe so that the air leakage state of whole welding pipes is checked at once.
