Disclosed is a composition comprising noribogaine (as depicted) wherein at least 95 percent of the noribogaine is present as the 2(R), 4(S), 5(S), 6(S) and 18(R) enantiomer and further wherein said composition comprises less than 100 ppm ibogaine contamination relative to the total amount of noribogaine.
