<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic machining method which can perform stable machining at high machining speed from the starting time of machining. <P>SOLUTION: A tool imparted with ultrasonic vibration is advanced and machining of a workpiece is started from a distal end part of the tool (T1). When the distal end part of the tool reaches from the surface of the workpiece up to a prescribed fine depth D1 (T2), the tool retreats by prescribed retreating amount D2 and the distal end part of the tool is away from the surface of the workpiece (T3). The tool advances by prescribed advancing amount D3 and machining of the workpiece is advanced (T4). Subsequently, retreating by the prescribed retreating amount D2 and advancing by the prescribed advancing amount D3 are repeated till the distal end part of the tool reaches from the surface of the workpiece up to the planned machining depth. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
