PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine whether a tooth-missing section is passed even when a double signal abnormality is generated.
SOLUTION: A crank position sensor 42 includes a main sensor 61 and a sub-sensor 62 for outputting pulse signals each time a tooth 52 of a signal rotor 51 passes, where the signals output by the sensors have phases deviating from each other. When such conditions that a sub-signal of the sub-sensor 62 is at a high level and that a main signal of the main sensor 61 is changed are established, the crank position sensor 42 outputs a crank signal whose pulse width is different according to a changing direction of the main signal when the conditions are established. An ECU 41 performs tooth-missing section passage determination based on a time interval between the crank signals. Also, the ECU 41 determines whether or not a double signal abnormality where two signals are output from the crank position sensor 42 each time the tooth 52 passes is generated, and changes determination configurations of the tooth-missing section passage determination according to the cases in which the double signal abnormality is determined to be present and absent, upon performing the tooth-missing passage determination.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
