<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature protective device of an electric motor for an elevator, which is capable of improving the accuracy of estimating a temperature of a magnet that is installed in the electric motor of a hoisting machine. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: a memory unit for storing a value of a reference current, which flows through the electric motor when driving the electric motor installed in the hoisting machine 2 of the elevator at a reference temperature, and the reference temperature value; and an estimation unit for estimating the temperature of the magnet, based on the value of the current, which flows through the electric motor when driving the electric motor on the condition in storing the reference current value and the reference temperature value, the reference current value, the reference temperature value, and temperature characteristics of the magnetic flux density of the magnet disposed in a rotor of the electric motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
