摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate kernel booting processing in a computer equipped with a plurality of connection devices. <P>SOLUTION: First, in a first phase 201, booting processing for each device installed in a computer is performed. In this case, the booting processing is sequentially performed from a device whose stand-by time for booting the device is longer. When the first phase 201 is completed, first phase completion decision processing 203 is performed. In the first phase completion decision processing 203, whether boot has been completed or not is decided for every device. In a second phase 204, initialization processing of a device driver corresponding to the device whose boot completion has been confirmed is performed.
