<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress inclination of a column due to a thermal expansion difference of each part of the column, while suppressing running cost and initial cost. <P>SOLUTION: A machine tool includes the cylindrical column 10 having each of upper and lower ends opened and indirectly supporting a tool head, a plurality of legs 31 arranged between an edge of a lower opening 23 of the column 10 and an installation surface F to raise and support the column 10, and a fan unit 40 taking ambient air into the column 10 from the lower opening 22 of the column 10 and exhausting the ambient air from an upper opening 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
