<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner capable of solving problems caused by the deflection of the optical axis of a laser beam without increasing the cost of the optical scanner while avoiding problems caused by the laser beam that is radiated from a laser light source but returns thereto again. <P>SOLUTION: An optical scanner comprises: a parallel flat plate having an incidence surface and a radiation surface parallel to each other, deflecting a laser beam incident from the incidence surface and radiating a laser beam with a deflected optical path from the radiation surface; and scanning means that causes the laser beam radiated from the radiation surface of the parallel flat plate to be scanned. The parallel flat plate is so arranged that the laser beam radiated from the laser source and the laser beam radiated from the parallel flat plate are parallel to each other and deflected in a sub-scanning direction that is perpendicular to the scanning direction of the scanning means, and that the laser beam reflected on the incidence surface of the parallel flat plate is not allowed to return to the laser source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
