The ball screw drive has ball nut (2) connected with ball screw (1). Several power transmitting balls (5) are formed for supporting the ball screw and ball screw nut in the axial direction. The ball screw located in power transmitting ball (5,8) is moved into lash compensation position through ball supporting contact surface (3,9), so that the directional forces are made to act on the ball contact surface with respect to axis of rotation of ball screw nut.
