<p>Disclosed in the invention is a method, system, STB (Set Top Box) and remote controller for IPTV and value-added business thereof, wherein the method comprises the following steps: the STB initiates a HTTP request to IPTV value-added application server and receives value-added application service information; the IPTV value-added application server transfers the HTTP request to a third party content provider, which returns the value-added application information file to STB; STB parses the value-added application information, shows the value-added application information for the user to choose from, and then initiates a HTTP request to the IPTV value-added application server according to the choice of the user to obtain detailed value-added application information; the IPTV value-added application server transfers the user's request to the third party content provider, which returns the detailed value-added application information file to STB; STB controls IPTV to show the detailed value-added application information. In comparison with prior art, the embodiments of the present invention expand the original functionalities of IPTV and enable IPTV to be more user customizable with diversified functionalities.</p> |
