<p>PURPOSE: A light emitting diode is provided to multiply photonic efficiency by uniformly distributing fluorescent substances contained in a molding unit in a location higher than a horizontal plane of the leading end of a reflecting body and preventing loss of light due to the fluorescent substances. CONSTITUTION: Housing(200) comprises a penetration hole. A heat sink(240) is installed to the penetration hole of the housing. A light emitting diode chip(210) is installed in a reflecting body(250) of the heat sink. A molding unit(260) contains fluorescent substances(270) which change the wavelength of light which emitted from the light emitting diode chip. The fluorescent substances are uniformly distributed in a location higher than a horizontal plane of the leading end of the reflecting body. A first electrode and a second electrode are electrically connected to the light emitting diode chip by wires.</p>
