<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex comprising a base material of a dendrimer that can contain a palladium cluster larger than Pd<SB POS="POST">16</SB>, and a hydrogenation method using the complex. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a complex of a palladium cluster and a dendrimer, and a hydrogenation method using the complex as a catalyst for hydrogenation reactions. The complex contains the palladium cluster inside the dendrimer represented by general formula (I) (in the formula, A represents a hydrogen atom or an oxygen atom, k represents an integer of 0-1, l represents an integer of 2-4 while k+2l≥5, m represents an integer of 2-4, n represents an integer of 1-2, and R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, R<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, R<SB POS="POST">4</SB>and R<SB POS="POST">5</SB>may be the same or different from one another, and each represents any one selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms and an alkoxy group having 1-3 carbon atoms). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
