<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibrating piece that ensures enhanced drive-level characteristics, and to provide a piezoelectric resonator, an oscillator, an electronic device, and a radio-controlled timepiece, using the piezoelectric vibrating piece. <P>SOLUTION: A base end of a groove portion 5 is formed so as to be smaller in width than a tip end of the groove portion 5. A base 4 has: a mount portion 4a with mount electrodes 12 and 13, to which a piezoelectric vibrating piece 1 is mounted, formed on an outer surface thereof; and an intermediate portion 4b that is connected to the mount portion 4a and a pair of vibrating arm portions 3a and 3b so as to be positioned between the mount portion 4a and the pair of vibrating arm portions 3a and 3b and that has extraction electrodes 14a and 14b, which connect a pair of excitation electrodes 10 and 11 and the mount electrodes 12 and 13, formed on an outer surface thereof. The mount portion 4a is formed so as to be larger in width than the intermediate portion 4b. A side surface of the mount portion 4a and a side surface of the intermediate portion 4b are connected to each other, in a step portion between the mount portion 4a and the intermediate portion 4b, through a slope 4c that is inclined lengthwise. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
