<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which even when the cumulative use times of an image carrier and a cleaning blade are changed, the cleaning effect of the cleaning blade is stably maintained. <P>SOLUTION: A scraper 13 separates surplus toner from a fur brush 12, while forming a toner reservoir 50 between the scraper 13 and the fur brush 12. A control part 34 starts the fur brush 12 in a direction where the fur brush 12 is stopped to compress the toner reservoir 50, to detect a drive load and then, starts the fur brush 12 in a reverse direction, to detect the drive load. Then, the control part 34 controls an exposure device 3 and the fur brush 12, based on a value obtained by dividing the drive load in the compression direction by the drive load in the reverse direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
