Disclosed is a clutch cover assembly by which the action of a wear amount detection mechanism can be stabilized and wear can always be accurately compensated for. The disclosed clutch cover assembly (1) is provided with a clutch cover (2) fixed to a flywheel, a pressure plate (3), a fulcrum ring (4), and a ring movement restricting mechanism (9). The pressure plate (3) is for pressing a friction member onto the flywheel and is connected to the clutch cover (2) so as to not to allow rotation relative thereto. The fulcrum ring (4) is positioned on the pressure plate (3), and moves in a direction away from the pressure plate (3) in accordance with the amount of wear of the friction member. When the number of rotations of the pressure plate (3) exceeds a prescribed number of rotations, the ring movement restricting mechanism (9) restricts the movement of the fulcrum ring (4) in the direction away from the pressure plate (3).
