The plunger (4) has a housing co-acting with a plunger body (10) for up and down movement of the plunger body, and a roller shoe (12) connected with the plunger body. A hollow cylindrical shaped recess (13) is embedded into the roller shoe, in which a track roller (14) is inserted. The roller shoe comprises lateral lubrication pockets in a region of the hollow-cylinder-shaped recess, where the lubrication pockets lie opposite to each other. Each lubrication pocket is extended along height of the roller shoe, which is provided with a rectangular contour.
