The device i.e. electrical switch (5), has an electrical switching arrangement (9) i.e. control electronics, for controlling and/or regulating an electric motor (2) and comprising a heat generating component i.e. power transistor, MOSFET, a triac and a recovery diode. The arrangement comprises a cooling body (14) that is provided in and/or at a housing (13). A carrier substrate i.e. printed circuit board (10), comprises a breakdown-type opening. The generating component is arranged in the opening in such a manner that a direct heat conducting connection of the component to the body is enabled. The printed circuit board is made of Flame Resistant 2 (FR-2)(RTM: synthetic resin bonded paper), Flame Resistant 4 (FR-4)(RTM: epoxy-bonded fiberglass) or ceramic material.
