<p>The present invention provides a method and system for switching. Upon receiving the failure information and determining the failure information contains status information of target base station, the source switching network element pauses in requesting for switching. Using the method of the present invention, the source switching network element learns that the cause of the switching failure is the status of the target base station, and thereby takes the appropriate measurement for the failure cause: pausing the switching request, thus avoiding repeated invalid switching, reducing the frequency of invalid switching launched by the source switch network element, and consequently improving the performance of network is improved.</p> |
