<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system of an internal combustion engine, which maintains functions of a catalytic device without deteriorating functions of a catalyst, by replacing a part of an expensive noble metal by a silver catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control system includes: a first oxidation catalyst containing at least one kind of noble metal selected from the group consisting of Pt, Pd and Rh and/or an oxide of the noble metal; a silver-containing DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) catalyst containing silver and/or an oxide of silver; and a second oxidation catalyst containing at least one kind of noble metal selected from the group consisting of Pt, Pd and Rh and/or an oxide of the noble metal, wherein the first oxidation catalyst, the silver-containing DPF catalyst and the second oxidation catalyst are arranged in this order from an upstream side to a downstream side of exhaust gas exhausted from an internal combustion engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
