<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce waste of the mediums to be recorded due to printing failure based on a function to print protruding a support for supporting the medium from a housing. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming system is provided with a printing function to print protruding a support for supporting the medium to be recorded from the housing, and has an operating condition printable based on the printing function and a nonoperational condition in which it is impossible to perform printing based on the printing function. In the system, a print data storage part stores the print data, and when a printing instruction based on the printing function is performed by user's operation, it is permitted to carry out a preliminary operation to prepare the printing based on the printing function. Based on the preliminary operation carried out by the permission, a printing permission is output when determined to be in an operating condition, and based on the output printing permission, printing is carried out according to the print data stored in the print data storage part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
