<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnosis apparatus of a rotary shaft, capable of highly accurately receiving an elastic wave signal generated due to generation or progress of a crack of the rotary shaft without attenuating the signal. <P>SOLUTION: The abnormality diagnosis apparatus of the rotary shaft includes: at least one or more AE sensors 12 for detecting elastic waves generated in spindles 4a, 4b; and an analysis means 16 connected to the AE sensors 12 through wires to diagnose abnormality based on signals from the AE sensors 12. In a fluid reservoir 11 filled with magnetic fluid and provided with the AE sensor 12, a magnet 14 for holding the magnetic fluid is arranged between the spindles 4a, 4b and the fluid reservoir 11. The analysis means 16 analyzes abnormality generated in the spindles 4a, 4b based on elastic waves detected in a period determined by predetermined rolling load, preset stand-by time and preset measurement time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
