The invention relates to a method for generating a transaction signal using a first device and a second device, wherein the first device and/or the second device are suitable to be carried by a user, said method comprising the following steps, wherein by means of a first device, a user generates a first piece of information, which is dependent upon an amount selected by the user, the first device transmits the first piece of information to a verification device, on the basis of the first piece of information the verification device generates a signal which is suitable to be converted by the first device into an at least two-dimensional representation which the first device can show on a display of the first device, on the basis of the first piece of information the verification device generates a first piece of verification information, the signal is transmitted by the verification device to the first device, the signal is converted by the first device into an at least two-dimensional representation which the first device presents on the display of the first device, the at least two-dimensional representation on the display of the first device is recorded by a camera of a second device and a recording signal is generated, the second device transmits the recording signal or a second piece of information, which is dependent upon the recording signal, to the verification device or an alternative verification device, the verification device or the alternative verification device generates a second piece of verification information from the recording signal or the second piece of information, the first piece of verification information and the second piece of verification information are compared and the transaction signal is generated when the comparison produces a predetermined result. |
