The invention is a molding having a gas barrier layer, wherein said gas barrier layer has a surface layer configured of a material containing at least carbon atoms, oxygen atoms and silicon atoms, and with respect to the total of carbon atoms, oxygen atoms, nitrogen atoms and silicon atoms present in said surface layer, the proportion of carbon atoms present is more than 0% and no more than 70%, the proportion of oxygen atoms present is 10% to 70% inclusive, the proportion of nitrogen atoms present is 0% to 35% inclusive, and the proportion of silicon atoms present is 20% to 55% inclusive; a method for producing the molding; a part for electronic devices obtained from said molding; and an electronic device provided with said part. This molding has excellent gas barrier properties, transparency and folding tolerance. With the molding production method, said molding can be produced safely and easily with a single process. The part for electronic devices can be used suitably in electronic devices such as display devices, solar batteries, etc. |
