In a laminated-layer winding process of a battery or a condenser, when a defect mark is detected, one full product is not discarded as a defective product, but only an electrode including a defective portion can be discarded separately. An electrode winding process includes the steps of: interposing separators (4, 5) between a pair of positive and negative electrodes (2, 3); winding the electrodes (2, 3) and the separators (4, 5) each having one product length of L around a core (38); and cutting the electrodes (2, 3) and the separators (4, 5) on a per-one-product-unit basis. In the electrode winding process, defect marks (15, 16) are detected at the respective electrodes (2, 3), which are marked on the respective electrodes (2, 3) at upstream positions in the electrode movement direction, located one product length of L or more from a product winding position (S). When the defect marks (15, 16) are detected on the electrodes (2, 3) within the one product length of L to be wound next, defective portions of only the electrodes (2, 3) corresponding to the defect marks (15, 16) are wound from a winding start end (P) of the electrodes having the one product length of L, thereby separating the defective portions from the electrodes (2, 3) and discarding the separated defective portions.
|
