<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a character input method and a character input apparatus" capable of facilitating a character selection when inputting a character string in which characters having opposite arrangement sequence directions are mixed, according to character types. <P>SOLUTION: When inputting a character string in which first type characters and second type characters whose arrangement sequence directions are mutually opposite are mixed, the characters of the respective character types are selected in the order from the top side by means of a cursor 2 as if heading towards the arrangement sequence direction and the display positions of the characters in an initial display state of a character input mode for inputting the character string are defined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
