<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, an imaging apparatus and a program that provide a doctor with various diagnostic values by estimating the distance to a subject from a plurality of (channels of) images of different focus conditions (points of focus). <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: an image acquisition section for acquiring a plurality of images of different focus conditions; a reference point setting section 351 for setting a reference point set in an area of interest with respect to the plurality of acquired images; a distance estimation section 352 for estimating distance information to a corresponding point in a real space corresponding to the reference point on the basis of a pixel value corresponding to the reference point with respect to the plurality of images; and an additional information generation section 356 for generating additional information to be added to the area of interest with the reference point set, according to the estimated distance information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
