<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducer capable of controlling temperature rise of an optical pickup while reducing electric power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: An optical disk reproducer 1 comprises: a spindle motor 71 for spinning an optical disk 10; an optical pickup 72 for projecting light on the optical disk 10 and receiving reflected light from the optical disk 10; and a fan 26 for circulating the air around the optical pickup 72. The optical disk reproducer 1 spins the optical disk 10 by using the spindle motor 71, projects the light on the optical disk 10 and also receives the reflected light from the optical disk 10 by using the optical pickup 72 so as to read recording data from the optical disk 10. The fan 26 is driven when an angular velocity of the spinning of the optical disk 10 is slower than a predetermined angular velocity, and the fan 26 is stopped when the angular velocity of the spinning of the optical disk 10 is not slower than the predetermined angular velocity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
